Canadian business aviation specialist Sunwest Aviation has selected SKYTRAC’s data analytics services for monitoring in-flight safety, trending fleet performance and transmitting emergency air-to-ground alerts.
The flight data monitoring package combines SKYTRAC’s signature SkyWeb flight tracking and data management portal with the robust ISAT-200A transceiver. The platform offers a unique solution for gaining easy access to accurate data on unstable approaches, geo-fence exceedances and other deviations from safe-operating parameters. The flexible SkyWeb software interface allows clients to customize the data sets, or events, that trigger real-time alerts. A wide selection of detailed dashboards, drill-down reports and data export options provide additional tools to supplement SMS and fleet maintenance programs.
“Sunwest came to the project with a comprehensive set of flight monitoring requirements. In addition to enhancing safety performance, we were also looking to increase economic efficiency, create a competitive advantage, and gain the tools to foster continuous quality improvements. SKYTRAC provides a cost-effective solution that supports both our current safety initiatives and our long-term goals,” said SunWest Director of Safety Dan Maerz.
SKYTRAC will manage all aspects of Sunwest’s data acquisition, real-time monitoring and data analysis requirements including STC implementation, hardware installation, custom FDM dashboard setup, event-set definition and event validation.
