On February 23, thousands of passionate Canadians working in aerospace will celebrate National Aviation Day, recanting the many successes, breakthroughs, and strengths of Canadian air transportation.
Canada proudly boasts one of the safest air transportation systems in the world, featuring steadily declining accident rates. Now, there are fewer than six accidents a year per 100,000 flight hours. In addition to the incredible safety record and world leading safety standards, Canada is also a major contributor to the global aviation sector through its growing base of aerospace-space technology companies, which include SKYTRAC and Latitude Technologies.
SKYTRAC’s recent growth has led to its Canada-wide expansion, and now features four offices and facilities throughout Canada in Victoria, BC, Kelowna, BC, and Ottawa, ON.
In addition, SKYTRAC and Latitude supports dozens of Canadian operators involved in making our country safer in industries such as emergency medical services, aerial firefighting, search and rescue, and regional transport.
February 23, 2021 represents a day to celebrate all those who have worked to propel Canada’s aerospace sector to where it is today, past, present, and future. For more information on Canada’s National Aviation day, please visit https://tc.canada.ca/en/campaigns/national-aviation-day-february-23.
