SKYTRAC – a proud member of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI)

With several products and services enabling capabilities for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), SKYTRAC is an active and proud member of the Association of Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).

UAVs, also commonly referred to as drones, are remotely piloted aerial vehicles with significant military, commercial, law enforcement, and consumer applications. UAVs enable the execution of dangerous missions without risking human life and are widely used for mapping, surveying, and determining weather conditions of a specific area. With the incorporation of new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the UAV market is expected to grow.

AUVSI’s Role in the Growth of the Unmanned Systems

AUVSI is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics. They aim to shape a future where remotely operated and autonomous transportation technologies are entirely accepted, valued, and used. AUVSI is a resource to help navigate the ever-evolving world of unmanned systems. AUVSI hosts multiple events, including Unmanned Systems Defense, FASS UAS Symposium, and Automated Freight Summit. AUVIS’s most notable event is the annual XPONENTIAL, where end-users, technologists, and policymakers discuss safe and seamless means of integrating autonomous innovation into everyday life. AUVSI XPONENTIAL touches on a spectrum of topics relevant to unmanned innovation, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), sensors, and cybersecurity. As a member and a leading provider of broadband and midband satellite communications connectivity for UAV Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and operators, SKYTRAC annually exhibits at AUVSI XPONENTIAL.

SKYTRAC’s Role in the Unmanned Systems Technology Industry

SKYTRAC’s IMS-350 and DLS-100 offer unmanned aviation a gateway to reliably access mission-critical capabilities via the Iridium NEXT satellite constellation at a lower overall cost to competitor Satcom systems and services. The broadband IMS-350 and midband DLS-100 provide numerous capabilities and interfaces in a lightweight and small form, enabling data throughput from any point globally. The IMS-350 is SKYTRAC’s answer for broadband L-band Iridium Certus connectivity, capable of up to 704 Kbps of low latency Satcom, cellular, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Optimized for Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP), the IMS-350 provides UAVs with a datalink and custom onboard server capabilities. The DLS-100 is a super lightweight datalink solution for unmanned aviation that provides up to 88 Kbps enabling real-time Command and Control (C2), telemetry streaming, and GPS connectivity. With these Satcom terminals, SKYTRAC is a platform of choice to allow UAVs with a host of capabilities, including:

By offering these capabilities to UAV partners such as Platform Aerospace, Embention, FuVeX, and more, SKYTRAC aligns with AUVSI’s mission of advancing unmanned systems technology and shaping its acceptance and applications in society. SKYTRAC is proud to be a member of AUVSI and significantly contribute to the unmanned aviation community.
